Big Company, no shield!

Yet again another big company being accused of discrimination, in this case, race, but unable to advance the reasonably practicable steps defence, presumably because they had not trained their employees on equal opportunities issues.
Well a £2.4 million award is quite an expensive lesson. I did ponder for a moment whether the Claimant’s Solicitors were acting on a no win, no fee basis but my mind then boggled at the size of the potential fee.
Needless to say PJH Law have come up with an inexpensive lesson, their award winning, Dignity at work e learning course. If your employees take the course, the chances of a reasonably practical steps defence increase. Most employers have the policy but can’t evidence the training.
