As part of our Big Wigs Challenge the team are taking part in the Sue Ryder fun day on Sunday. We will be running a refreshment stall, lucky dip and crazy car obstacle course. It has been a bit like the apprentice with trips to purchase stock and working out a return on our investment.
If any of you are local it is at Thorpe Hall in Peterborough between 10am and 4pm. If you cannot make the event you can support our charity by taking part in the baby sweepstake and you may even win yourself a nice £15 M & S voucher. Coming soon will be our next fundraising activity involving a triatholon.

Is there a Mystic Meg amongst us? Who has the best powers of prophesy? Put your money where your mouth is and predict the following:
Date my baby will be born?
Weight of the baby?
We are raising money for Sue Ryder through the Big Wig Challenge. I am expecting a baby girl on 27th August 2009 so we thought this was a good opportunity to raise money for the charity. The prize is a £15 M & S voucher for the winner who is selected by the programme with the closest due date and weight. Each bet costs just £1 and the proceeds go to charity. You will need to give us an estimated birth time too in case of a tie breaker as there is only one prize.
We are using a programme and site called mybabysweepstake. You can fill your answers in on the site following the instructions and then pay in person or using paypal with an existing account or by credit/debit card. Please note that they do deduct charges from your donation so if you can pay in person that would be better. If you do use paypal make sure you use the same name and email address so we can link your bet and payment.
All proceeds go to Big Wigs challenge so good luck!

For those of you keeping track of our Big Wigs Challenge we have now set up a fundraising page http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/pjhlaw where you can register and then shop online as usual. Any online shopping you do creates a donation back to our page of up to 15% of the value and this goes to our good cause. Until the end of August 2009 this will be Sue Ryder through our Big Wig Challenge.
After we have completed the challenge we thought it would be nice to continue the fundraising and to nominate a charity each year for our collection box and funds from this link. This way we continue to do our bit for charity year on year in a focused way.
You can all use the link to shop immediately you just have to register first and it is completely free so your support is appreciated!

Following on from Sarah’s blog regarding the Big Wig challenge, we have set up a Justgiving page which enables donations to be made by credit or debit card and if you are a UK taxpayer, the government chuck in an extra 20% of so by way of giftaid tax relief!
Any donations will be gratefully received. We have a long way to go to reach our target of raising £2000 for Sue Ryder Care Home by August!
We will be announcing our other fundraising activities on this blog category shortly……and participation from readers will be welcome!
