PJH Law also offer a more pro-active service for employers including reviewing policies and documentation, training and e-learning.  We have launched our Training Programme for 2008 and initially we have two dates in the calendar.

The first is on 10th April 2008 and the seminar is on TUPE.  The seminar is aimed at HR Personnel or employers who may be involved in TUPE transfers.  You can find out more here and register your place by contacting us.   The course will use both powerpoint and pinpoint and will be half a day.

The second date is 14th May 2008 and will be an Introduction to Employment Law. This seminar will be a full day and is an overview of employment law the complete A-Z.  It is suitable as a refresher or for people who find themselves in a HR or quasi-HR role.  You can find out more here and register your place by contacting us.   The course will use both powerpoint and pinpoint.

ELS clients can use hours to the value of the course from their ELS Agreement rather than pay the course fee.

Employment Law Update Seminar 2008

By Liam - Monday, January 28th, 2008

PJH Law’s sixth annual employment law update seminar was another success.  For those of you that skipped class, you may find both the slides and the information at http://www.pjhlaw.co.uk/employment-law-resources/seminar-notes-2008.php useful, although as anyone who has skived the odd lecture will know, the notes are no substitute for going to class!

Employment Law Training - Your Views Wanted

By Liam - Tuesday, May 8th, 2007

We are often asked to conduct Employment Law Training. We have recently run sessions on a wide range of subjects, including Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE), Performance Management, Attendance Management, Discipline and Dismissal, Discrimination and Harassment, 2 Day Employment Law for Managers Courses and of course Employment Law Updates.

We like to think that our sessions are lively and different to the traditional ‘death by PowerPoint’ style of training. We use interactive techniques such as Pinpoint and quizzes to help keep the grey matter awake and to engage delegates.

We would like to hear your views on what makes an effective training session, what techniques you use and whether you agree that avoiding excessive use of PowerPoint is the way forward. Please comment using the link at the bottom of this blog post.
