Jobs to be axed at BBC

by Nicky

The BBC have announced plans to axe 100 senior manager positions in a bid to slash their salary bill by a quarter over the next three and a half years.

Currently the BBC’s  salary bill for executive board directors and senior managers is around £79 million. However, it is intended that the BBC will axe 18% of their 643 senior manager and executive director positions, which is anticipated to result in a saving of £20 million.
